Jimmy Deetman

Jimmy Deetman has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jimmy began their career in 2007 as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at RITE AID, where they handled prescription processing, insurance payments, and resolved issues. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Medical Laboratory Specialist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, performing laboratory testing in microbiology and serology sections, including complex techniques such as PCR methodologies and microscopy. Following this, they joined US Army Health Clinic Stuttgart as a Lead Medical Laboratory Specialist, overseeing a team and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Jimmy achieved successful JCAHO and CAP accreditation inspections with zero deficiencies. Jimmy later returned to Walter Reed as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, responsible for high complexity laboratory testing and instrument maintenance. Most recently, they joined SPT Labtech in 2022 as a Field Service Engineer.

Jimmy Deetman attended The George Washington University from 2016 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Laboratory Science. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2014, they also attended The George Washington University and obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Health Science Laboratory Technology. In terms of additional certifications, Jimmy obtained a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science from The George Washington University in January 2022. Jimmy also obtained certifications such as Inspection Team Member from the College of American Pathologists (CAP) in May 2020, Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP-MLS) from ASCP BOC in February 2022, and Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in July 2013.
