Tim Bedford has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Tim began their career as a Motorcycle Courier at Eagle Couriers in 1994 before transitioning to a Trainee Drilling Engineer at Santa Fe TechServ in the oil industry. In 1997, Tim attempted to start a business developing a software application for the forestry industry. Tim later worked as a Research Associate at the University of Abertay Dundee before joining NCR Corporation as a Software Engineer in 1998. Tim then joined TTP plc in 1999 as a Software Engineer, where they collaborated with mechanical and electronic engineers to meet customer requirements in the Process and Instrumentation division. In 2002, they transitioned to TTP Labtech, a subsidiary company, as a Senior Software Engineer. Tim worked on several consultancy developments before the company solely focused on developing and selling its own product lines. In 2018, Tim joined SPT Labtech as a Senior Software Engineer in the Sample Management Group. Tim'sprimary responsibility was the Lab2Lab product, a wide-area automation system extensively used by pharmaceutical companies. In 2023, Tim is set to join Merck Life Science as an Automation Engineer.
Tim Bedford attended the University of Glasgow from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors, achieving a 2:1 degree classification. Tim'sfield of study during this time was Mechanical Engineering. Subsequently, from 1995 to 1996, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechatronics at the University of Dundee.
