Kate Roberts

Kate Roberts has a wealth of experience in the field of human resources and people management. Kate most recently served as the Director of People and Culture at Spurgeons starting in April 2023. Prior to this, they held the title of Head of People at the same company from September 2018 to March 2023. Kate has also worked at various other organizations, including Argos, where they held multiple roles such as Programme Manager - HR Integration, Head of HR - Digital/IT/Marketing, and Senior HR Manager - Marketing. Kate was also the Head of HR - Digital & HR Programmes, where they worked on supporting the company's Digital transformation strategy. Before their time at Argos, Kate worked as a Senior Human Resources Manager at Barclaycard, a Manager at Deloitte in Human Capital Consulting, and a Human Resources Manager at Bourne Leisure. Kate began their career as a Regional HR Advisor and Management Graduate Trainee at Kingfisher plc.

Kate Roberts attended the University of East Anglia from 1994 to 1997, where they earned a BA Hons. 2.1 degree in English Literature. Kate then went on to study at the University of Oxford from 1997 to 1999 and obtained a Pgdip in Management Studies.
