Majdi Abulaban is the current director at SPX FLOW. Majdi was previously with Delphi from January 2001 to December 2017, where they were the SVP, group president, global electrical & electronic architecture segment & president, Asia-Pacific.
At Delphi, Majdi led the global electrical / electronic architecture segment, which was the largest business in the company with $9.2 bn revenue, 3 global product business units and more than 120,000 employees world-wide. Majdi transformed the business from an automotive wiring focused manufacturing company to a world class solutions provider of electrical architecture. This was accomplished by rebalancing the portfolio to connectors and cable management, expanding into adjacent non-automotive segments, closing and integrating 3 major acquisitions totalling $3.3 Billion, and advancing the portfolio through investment in product development. The connector business was transformed into the world’s #2 leader through innovation, and the company’s footprint was restructured and rebalanced regional mix. The company also expanded its #1 leader position in China, rotated its customer base to Japanese and Korean OEMs, and built an environment that fosters high-performing talent, accountability and future leaders. Under Majdi’s leadership, EBITDA margins expanded from 14.2% to 19.2%, growth was achieved above the market with a 10% CAGR , and the “excellence culture” was established as the foundation of
Majdi Abulaban graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). Majdi then went on to get their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
