Ruth G. Shaw

Ruth G. Shaw is a retired executive and corporate board member with extensive leadership experience in the energy and education sectors. After retiring from Duke Energy Corporation in April 2007, Ruth continued serving as an Executive Advisor until May 2009. Ruth held key positions including President and CEO of Duke Power Company and President of Central Piedmont Community College. Currently, Ruth chairs the board of trustees at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and holds roles on several boards, including DTE Energy and The Dow Chemical Company. Ruth earned a Ph.D. in higher education administration from the University of Texas at Austin and degrees in English from East Carolina University.
