Andrew Spencer

Andy Spencer is currently the Senior Vice President of Preclinical Research and Development at Spyre Therapeutics. Prior to his current role, Andy has held various positions in the biotech industry, including serving as the Head of Strategy, Portfolio, and Business Development at Empirico Inc. and as the Senior Vice President of Preclinical Research & Development at MILLENDO THERAPEUTICS. Andy has a strong background in biochemistry and developmental genetics, with a PhD from Michigan State University and postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Throughout his career, Andy has been involved in the development of novel therapeutics for a variety of diseases, ranging from autoimmune disorders to rare endocrine diseases.
