Sheldon Sloan

Sheldon Sloan, MD, M Bioethics, currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Spyre Therapeutics since October 2024. Previously, Sheldon held the role of Chief Medical Officer at Abivax and Vice President at Pfizer, where responsibilities included leadership of the Etrasimod UC Team. Sheldon also served as Vice President at Arena Pharmaceuticals, overseeing the Etrasimod GI Program, and as the Immunology Global Medical Affairs Leader at Janssen-Ortho, focusing on Inflammatory Bowel Disease. With a strong background in internal medicine and regulatory affairs, Sheldon has contributed significantly to the development and lifecycle management of various therapeutic products throughout a career spanning over two decades in the pharmaceutical industry. Educational credentials include an MD from Rush Medical College and a Master's in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania.
