Joey Climaco has a diverse work experience in software design and development. Joey started their career as a Software Design Engineer at ViCon Philippines in 2001. Joey then worked as a Speech Applications Engineer at Adtel Inc from 2002 to 2003, developing a Speech Recognition-based IVR telephony system. Joey then joined BiTMICRO Networks as a Head Technical Lead (ASIC-RTL) from 2003 to 2008, where they focused on ASIC RTL Design and Implementation of DSP-related applications. Joey later joined Philips Singapore as a Senior Software Engineer from 2008 to 2010, working on software design and development for Philips IPTV products. Joey then became a Senior Firmware Engineer at Astrata (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd from 2010 to 2011, involved in software design and development for vehicle tracking and positioning systems. Currently, they serve as the Chief Engineer at Sqreem Technologies since 2011.
Joey Climaco received a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering with a specialization in Digital Signal Processing from the University of the Philippines (Diliman) in the years 1996-2001. They also completed their Secondary education in Natural Science at the Philippine Science High School (Diliman) from 1992-1996. Additionally, they pursued a field of study in User Experience Design at General Assembly from an unknown start year until 2018.
