Ching Wei Shan (John)

Ching Wei Shan, also known as John, is currently employed as a Quantitative Analyst at Squarepoint Capital since June 2021, focusing on cash equity auctions. Prior experience includes a role as a Data Scientist at Kx, a division of First Derivatives plc, from April 2018 to June 2021, where responsibilities encompassed data and statistical analysis on market data, development of a market data ingestion framework, and automated issue tracking reports using kdb+/q and VBA. John also interned at SGX in 2017, contributing to automation of daily settlement price processes and analyzing quantitative trading strategies. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Sciences from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, completed in 2018, and attended Tampines Junior College from 2009 to 2011.
