Gabriel Constantinescu

Gabriel Constantinescu is a quantitative researcher with extensive experience in systematic trading strategies, specializing in commodities options and equity indices. Currently employed at Squarepoint Capital since September 2020, Gabriel has previously contributed to Cantab Capital Partners, where the focus was on medium frequency trading in futures and options. Academic roots include a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from the University of Cambridge, where research efforts involved studying layered-material heterostructures using linear-scaling Density Functional Theory. Prior educational accomplishments include a Master’s Degree in Physics at the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor’s Degree from Jacobs University Bremen.
