Pierre-Jean Bourcet has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Pierre-Jean started their career as a Risk Intern at Schlumberger, where they conducted risk studies on the company's financial structure. Pierre-Jean then moved to HSBC France, working as a Market Risk Control Intern, where they focused on historical data analysis, assessing new Structured Products and Risks, and making changes to the VaR system. Pierre-Jean then joined HSBC as a Market Risk Manager, responsible for IR&EQ Structured Products. Subsequently, they became an Exotics & Hybrids Trader at HSBC, specializing in equity derivatives structured products, interest rates, commodities, and equity correlation products. Pierre-Jean joined Standard Chartered Bank as a Director, Structured Products Trading, and Commodities Trader, before taking on their current role as the Head of Quant and Risk at Squarepoint Capital.

Pierre-Jean Bourcet obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Technology and Mathematics from Télécom Paris during the period from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mathematics, Economics, and Information Technology at École Polytechnique from 2000 to 2003.
