Zi-Ying M.

Zi-Ying M. is a seasoned quantitative researcher and portfolio manager at Squarepoint, specializing in event-driven systematic macro strategies since July 2025. Previously, Zi-Ying served as a macro strategist at Marshall Wace, focusing on rates relative value strategies and macro event forecasting from May 2023 to June 2025. Prior experience includes working as an economist at Rokos Capital Management, where research emphasized US and Canada macroeconomic trends and US rates, from September 2019 to April 2023, and earlier as a research intern at the same firm in 2016. Zi-Ying holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland, a Master's degree in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences from Columbia University, and a Bachelor's degree in Computational Mathematics and Physics from the City University of Hong Kong.
