Jeff Wood

Jeff Wood has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Jeff currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Squid Games, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Zynga, where they served as both a Principal Software Engineer from October 2015 to November 2022 and a Senior Software Engineer from June 2014 to October 2015.

Before Zynga, Jeff worked at Free Range Games as a Project Lead, Lead Designer, and Senior Engineer. During their tenure from January 2010 to June 2014, they developed and shipped multiple games on various platforms using Unity 3D engine, including Yahoo! Games and Tech Deck Skateboarding.

Earlier in their career, Jeff worked at Shaba Games as a Technical Designer from December 2005 to December 2009. Jeff also gained experience at Sony Computer Entertainment America, where they worked as a QA Analyst from June 2005 to December 2005, and as a Tester from April 2004 to June 2005. Jeff started their gaming career at Electronic Arts as a Tester from July 2003 to April 2004, working on various games such as Battlefield Vietnam, Tiger Woods Golf 2004, and Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Jeff Wood received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Jeff attended the university from 1999 to 2003.
