Paula Galhardo

Paula Galhardo is a Principal and Chair of the Brazil Desk at Squire Patton Boggs, where Paula has been serving since January 2011. With extensive experience in the Corporate Practice Group, Paula represents a broad spectrum of businesses in international transactional matters involving Latin America, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, international contracts, and anticorruption compliance. Additionally, Paula holds the position of Board Member, Legal Adviser, and Chair of the Legal Committee at the Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce since February 2023. Past roles include Of Counsel and Associate at Squire Patton Boggs, Associate at Looper Reed & McGraw, and Attorney at LO Baptista Advogados Associados, where Paula developed and implemented compliance programs and provided legal advice on a variety of corporate matters. Paula began her legal career as a Law Clerk at VARIG, specializing in consumer and aviation law. Academic qualifications include an LL.B. from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, a Specialization in Business and Corporate Law from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, and an LLM from the University of Houston.
