Martin Pretorius

Martin Pretorius is an accomplished security and information technology professional with extensive experience across various roles. Currently serving as the Head of Security at Squiz since May 2022, Martin leads the security management system encompassing assurance, engineering, and operations on a global scale. Previously, Martin was a Senior Information Security Consultant and Information Security Manager at Axenic Ltd, providing strategic direction as a virtual Chief Information Security Officer. Prior roles at e4 Strategic included Head of Information Security, guiding security and development teams, and various technical positions leading to the establishment of robust security protocols. Martin's career began in web and software development, with foundational roles at Cherry Creek Software, New Era Solutions, and Gennen Defence Services. Martin holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Technology Management from the Management College of South Africa and a National Diploma in Fine/Studio Arts from the Technical University of Tswane.
