The Śramani Institute, founded in 2011 as a nonprofit organization in the United States, is rooted in our mission to realize the interconnected wellbeing of humans and ecologies and our Guiding Principle, namely that our wellbeing is interconnected and hinges on strengthening ecosymbiotic resilience. We are an integrated organization, incorporating research, thinktank, and implementation activities in our initiatives, which all have local and global aspects. The Śramani Institute has developed a new regenerative framework that forms the basis of the organization’s flagship global project (FB) poised to establish local ecology-rooted community self-reliance, while simultaneously mitigating the climate crisis, alleviating poverty and food-energy-health insecurity, transforming economic-legal-governance-education systems, revitalizing cultural identities, securing equity and justice, and restoring the health of biodiverse ecologies.
