Karen Garcia Rius

Karen Garcia Rius has a diverse work experience. Karen started their career as an Account Specialist at Guardian Fire Protection Services, LLC from August 2013 to August 2018. Following that, they interned at the Harvard-MIT Summer Institute from June 2019 to August 2019. Karen then worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The George Washington University from August 2020 to December 2020 and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant from September 2019 to August 2020. From April 2020 to April 2021, they served as the Director of George Hacks. Currently, they are working at srcLogic as an Associate Technical Consultant, a position they have held since August 2021.

Karen Garcia Rius has a strong background in biomedical/medical engineering. Karen pursued their education in this field starting with an Associate's Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Montgomery College, where they studied from 2012 to 2017. Karen then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from The George Washington University in 2021. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from The George Washington University's School of Engineering & Applied Science, which they completed in 2022. Additionally, Karen has obtained certifications in the field of software architecture, including the "Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA)" from Pegasystems, which they achieved in October 2021, and the "Certified System Architect (CSA)" from the same institution.
