Veena Rao

Veena Rao's work experience includes holding the position of Director at AuroCentre for Public Nutrition, Public Health, and Public Policy at Sri Aurobindo Society since October 2021. Previously, they served in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) from the Karnataka Cadre and retired as Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry for the Development of the North East Region. VEENA has also worked as an Advisor for the Karnataka Comprehensive Nutrition Mission, overseeing successful pilot projects funded by the World Bank to address undernutrition and micronutrient deficiency in Karnataka. From 2007 to 2009, they served as Secretary to the Government of India for the Development of the North Eastern Region.

Veena Rao has a post-graduate degree in Political Science - Development Studies from the University of Jammu and Kashmir, India. VEENA also has an additional degree from the University of Cambridge, UK. No specific start or end dates for their education were provided.
