Girish Acharya

Girish Acharya has over 25 years of experience in various roles within the technology industry. Girish started their career as a Senior Software Engineer/Architect at Johnson Controls and remained in this role for six years. Girish then joined VTEL Corporation as the Manager of Software Development and led a team in designing and developing innovative web-based graphics interfaces and generic APIs. Following this, Girish served as the Director of Product Development at VerticalNet, where they managed a large development team and played a crucial role in the company's transformation into a leading provider of supply chain solutions. Girish later worked at HP as a Consultant, responsible for the successful delivery of a unified content management system. Most recently, Girish worked at SRI International as the Engineering Director, where they led the Virtual Personal Assistant platform team and managed the integration of CALO/PAL, a DARPA project focused on creating the next generation of personal cognitive assistants.

Girish Acharya holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, which they obtained from 2003 to 2005. Girish also has a Master's degree in Engineering from the University of Toronto. Additionally, they hold a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
