Omesh Wijesiriwardena

Omesh Wijesiriwardena is an experienced cricket coach and professional player with a diverse background in coaching and sports management. Currently serving as a Provincial Talent Coach at Sri Lanka Cricket since August 2022, Omesh has contributed significantly to the success of the Sri Lanka women’s team, particularly during the Bangladesh tour. Omesh also works as an Assistant Sports Officer at Sri Lanka Ports Authority, where responsibilities include consulting as a cricket head coach and mentoring international players. Previously engaged with Bloomfield Cricket Club as a Consultant Head Coach, Omesh built on a solid foundation of coaching and playing experiences, including previous roles with international and club teams in various capacities. Education includes GCE O/L and A/L from Richmond College.
