Mihirinie Fonseka has extensive experience in business development and management, currently serving as Deputy General Manager at the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing since February 2009, with a progressive career at the institution including roles as Assistant General Manager, Head of Business Development, Manager, and Assistant Manager. Prior to this, Mihirinie was the Manager of Corporate Sales at Ceylinco Life Insurance Limited from January 2008 to February 2009 and worked as Sales Manager and Executive at Yellowpages between January 2003 and December 2007. Mihirinie holds a Master of Business Administration from Anglia Ruskin University, a Certified Professional Marketing qualification from the Marketing Institute of Singapore, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colombo.

Since 1970, SLIM has been promoting marketing excellence and elevating the status of marketing in Sri Lanka. Subsequently incorporated by an Act of Parliament in 1980, SLIM is a member of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka and of ESOMAR, the Federation of Marketing Research Industries. We are also a member of the Asia Marketing Federation, which is affiliated to the World Marketing Association. Vision To lead the nation’s efforts towards economic prosperity.
