Waruna Haegoda DipM MCIM CMA MBA is a seasoned professional in marketing and management, currently serving as Senior Manager - Market Management at Allianz Insurance Lanka Limited since February 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing branding, marketing, and communications for Life. Waruna also contributes as resource personnel at the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing and has previously held roles such as Manager/Head of Division at Union Assurance PLC, recognized with the John Keells Chairman's award for disruptive innovation. Past experiences include Group Marketing Manager at Capital TRUST Holdings Limited and Assistant Brand Manager for Motor Insurance at Sri Lanka Insurance. Waruna's extensive educational background includes certifications in marketing, management accounting, and business administration from various prestigious institutions.

Since 1970, SLIM has been promoting marketing excellence and elevating the status of marketing in Sri Lanka. Subsequently incorporated by an Act of Parliament in 1980, SLIM is a member of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka and of ESOMAR, the Federation of Marketing Research Industries.
