Ajith Wijayasundara

Ajith Wijayasundara has extensive experience in information technology and management, currently serving as the Deputy General Manager of Information Communication Technology at Sri Lanka Insurance since January 2011. Prior to this role, Ajith Wijayasundara led the IT department as Head of IT and Assistant General Manager at Commercial Bank of Ceylon Ltd from November 2003 to January 2011. A career that began in sales at Brown & Company PLC and George Steuart & Company Ltd transitioned to technical leadership at IBM, where Ajith Wijayasundara held several managerial positions from 1992 to 2003. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, an M.Sc in Computer Science from the University of Kelaniya, an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, and a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa. Primary education was completed at R/Eheliyagoda Primary School and secondary education at Ananda College.
