Alejo O. Sfriso

Alejo O. Sfriso serves as the Chair of the SRK Group of Companies, leveraging expertise in the design, analysis, and risk evaluation of geotechnical projects such as tunnels, dams, and urban excavations. In addition to this role, Alejo is the Practice Leader for Geotechnical Engineering in Mining and Infrastructure Projects at SRK Consulting and the Managing Director of the Argentinian Country Practice. At the University of Buenos Aires, Alejo acts as the Director of the post-graduate program in Geotechnical Engineering and previously held a professorial role in Soil Mechanics and Geology. Alejo has held prominent positions in professional organizations, including Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean at the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering and President of the Argentine Society for Geotechnical Engineering. Alejo holds a Doctorate in Civil Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires.
