Nuno Castanho

Nuno Castanho is a highly experienced senior consultant mining engineer currently at SRK Consulting since April 2018, specializing in underground mine planning, design, optimization, and cost estimation. Prior to this role, Nuno served as a mine planning engineer at Somincor - Lundin Mining, where responsibilities included short-term mine planning and production scheduling at the Neves Corvo mine. Nuno's background includes an internship at MIRARCO - Laurentian University focused on ventilation and production optimization, and previous positions as project manager, senior geology engineer, and exploration geologist in various companies. Educational achievements include a Master's Degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Camborne School of Mines and an engineering degree from Aveiro University, covering geology, geotechnics, mining, geophysics, and management.
