Ajinkya Sawant

Ajinkya Sawant is an accomplished mechanical engineer with extensive experience in product development and engineering roles. Currently serving as a Category Manager for Heavy Duty Applications at S&S Truck Parts LLC since September 2019, Ajinkya oversees product development projects from design to manufacturing handover, working with JDM and OEMs. Prior experience includes roles at Luminex Corporation as a Manufacturing Design Engineer, where Ajinkya facilitated the transition to SolidWorks/PDM and handled field failure investigations. Additionally, experience at Knowledge Labs Pvt. Ltd involved designing automotive components, conducting process validations, and managing customer documentation. Ajinkya began the career at Bharat Forge Ltd as a Project Trainee, contributing to the development of heat exchangers and hydrostatic transmissions. Ajinkya holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
