Sara Arvidson

Sara Arvidson currently serves as VP and Head of Environmental, Energy and Safety Affairs at SSAB, leading efforts in environmental permitting for fossil-free steel production in Sweden and Finland since August 2022. Previously, Sara held the position of Director Permit & Sustainability at HYBRIT, focusing on environmental permits and sustainability within a joint venture dedicated to fossil-free steel development from April 2020 to August 2022. Earlier experience includes roles as Sustainability Manager and Project Manager for wind power projects at OX2, acting Head of Project Development for Onshore Wind at Vattenfall, and various engineering positions at Sandvik, ÅF-Process AB, and Sandvik Tooling AB. Sara holds multiple Master's degrees in Materials Engineering from Luleå University of Technology, Institut national polytechnique de Lorraine, and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
