Viktor Strömberg

Viktor Strömberg is the EVP, Strategy & Digitalization at SSAB. Viktor has over fifteen years of experience in strategy and leadership roles.

Strömberg began their career as a Solution Manager at SAP Labs where they worked for three years. Viktor then transitioned to McKinsey & Company where they worked as an Associate Principal for seven years. In this role, they were responsible for leading and executing projects across a variety of industries including healthcare, consumer goods, and telecommunications.

In 2011, Strömberg joined SSAB as Vice President Strategy. In this role, they were responsible for the annual companywide strategy process and led many major development initiatives, including >10 M&A deals and the Hybrit joint venture initiative to produce fossil-free steels. Viktor also prepared and hosted numerous strategy conferences with Management and with the Board.

In 2014, Strömberg was the project leader for SSAB's public tender offer for Finnish steel company Rautaruukki. This included initial development of industrial plan and business case, negotiation preparation, public announcement, EU anti-trust process, pre-merger integration planning, and leading post-merger integration management to deliver 2 BSEK in synergies in 2 years.

Strömberg has been with SSAB since 2011 and in their current role as EVP, Strategy & Digitalization since 2018.

Viktor Strömberg has an MBA from INSEAD and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Linköping University.
