Andrew McManus

Andrew McManus is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in project management and technical authority across various sectors. Currently serving as the Lead Electrical Project Engineer at SSE plc since July 2015, Andrew specializes in substation projects and network upgrades for 132kV, 275kV, and 400kV systems. Previous roles include providing high and low voltage engineering expertise at Canadian Natural Resources International (UK) and working on significant decommissioning and life extension projects at Wood Group PSN. Andrew has also offered consultancy services for wind farm projects with PMSS, engaged in design reviews with POWER Engineers, and managed large-scale wind farm projects at Iberdrola. Early career experience includes roles at Mott MacDonald, focusing on thermal power plants and commissioning, and a foundational engineering program at National Grid. Andrew holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University.
