Bernie Collins

Bernie Collins is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Head of Platforms (Infrastructure Services) at SSE plc since December 2022, focusing on delivering change and operations for infrastructure, networks, and data centers. Previously, Bernie held the position of Head of Engineering at Barclays from September 2020 to December 2022 and spent a decade at Tesco Bank in various roles including Head of Banking Engineering, Senior Applications Manager, and Senior Applications Specialist - Team Leader. Additional experience includes roles as Technical Architect at Morse, Senior Microsoft Consultant at Capito Ltd, Consultant at Esteem Systems, Server Specialist at Velos-IT, Infrastructure Analyst at Contact4, and IT Analyst at Telecom Service Centres. Bernie Collins holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Strathclyde, earned between 1997 and 2001.
