Iain Smith

Iain Smith is a Financial Controller at SSE PLC, leading a team in the Energy Customer Solutions division. With extensive experience in financial management, Iain has successfully managed budget and planning cycles, and overseen compliance with statutory reporting and regulatory requirements. Previously, Iain held senior roles at RBS and Virgin Money, where they directed large teams in financial reporting and regulatory changes, demonstrating a proven ability to drive efficiency and deliver high-impact results. Iain is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and holds a degree in Accountancy and Finance from the University of Paisley.
