John Craig

John Craig has extensive experience in operations and management within the energy sector, notably as Head of Home Services at SSE plc since April 2017. Previously, at British Gas, John held multiple senior roles, including Operations Director for Smart Metering, where John oversaw a large-scale Smart Metering programme and significantly expanded a legacy business. Other positions included Area Operations Director for Service & Repair, managing a multi-million pound cost centre and 1,900 staff, and Director of Electrical Services, where John led transformational initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Early in John's career at British Gas, accomplishments included improving business performance and being recognized for leading the highest performing team. John holds an M.B.A. from Edinburgh Napier University and additional management qualifications from The Open University.
