Joseph Benson

Joseph Benson is an experienced professional in energy economics, currently serving as the European Research Manager at SSE plc since November 2017, where responsibilities include monitoring market events affecting NBP gas rates and analyzing UK and EU energy security reports. Previously, Joseph held several positions at SSE plc, including Senior International Energy Economist and Energy Markets Analyst. Prior to joining SSE, Joseph worked as an Energy Analyst at LASER Energy Buying Group from September 2011 to November 2017, focusing on managing market risk and producing weekly market reports. Joseph holds a BSc (Hons) in International Politics and Military History from Aberystwyth University, completed in 2008.
