Jesus Blanco

Jesus Blanco is a seasoned engineering professional specializing in wind turbine technology. Currently serving as the WTG Package Lead Engineer at SSE Renewables since March 2022, Jesus contributes to the Dogger Bank Offshore Wind farm. Prior to this role, Jesus held various positions at Iberdrola from November 2015 to March 2022, including Lead Project Engineer and Blades Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed providing mechanical engineering support and technical expertise to global onshore and offshore teams. Jesus's earlier experience includes roles at ScottishPower as a Mechanical Project Engineer and Assistant Offshore WTG Engineer, offering technical support throughout the lifecycle of wind turbine projects. Jesus began the professional journey with a traineeship in the Programme Management Office at Holcim Services and holds degrees in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio.
