John Cunningham

John Cunningham has extensive experience in wind energy analysis and resource assessment, currently serving as the Team Leader for Onshore Wind Resource Assessment & Energy Yield Analysis at SSE Renewables since June 2018. Previously, John held roles as a Senior Onshore Wind Energy Analyst at Gaelectric, focusing on post-construction assessments and providing technical advice, and as a Project Engineer at DNV GL - Renewables, where responsibilities included conducting energy assessments and managing meteorological data. Early career positions included research assistance at Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá, involvement in an R&D project at Northern Ireland Electricity, and outreach work with Christian Aid. John holds an MSc in Renewable Energy Systems Technology from Loughborough University and a PGDip in Renewable Energy Grid Integration from the Universidad de Zaragoza, as well as a BEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Loughborough University.
