Stuart Hardy

Stuart Hardy is an accomplished Operations Centre Manager at SSE Renewables since August 2019, overseeing a team responsible for the operation and control of a diverse fleet of approximately 2GW of onshore wind assets across Great Britain, Ireland, and Northern Ireland, with additional developments in Solar and Battery Energy Storage. Prior to this role, Stuart served as a Team Leader in the Wind Operations Centre and as a Process Engineer at SSE plc, where the focus was on enhancing safety, efficiency, and quality in wind generation assets. Stuart's extensive background includes working as a Wind Turbine Technician at Vestas, providing critical maintenance and support, and serving as a Technical Support Engineer and Aircraft Engineer at Vector Aerospace, where significant skills in aircraft maintenance and new product development were developed. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, an HNC in Mechanical Engineering, and an SVQ L3 in Aeronautical Engineering.
