James McLean

James McLean has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. James has been the Chief Information Officer at SSEN Transmission since November 2020. Prior to that, they worked at CNOOC International as the Sr Manager - IT, UK from January 2020 to November 2020. James also worked at ConocoPhillips for a significant period of time, holding various roles such as Head of IT, UK from 2012 to 2019, Global Programme Manager in 2011, Business Analysts Manager, IT UK & Africa Upstream from 2006 to 2011, Computing Infrastructure Manager Europe, Africa and Middle East from 2003 to 2006, and Computing Supervisor UK, Russia & Caspian from 2000 to 2003.

James McLean obtained their MSc degree in Information Analysis from Robert Gordon University, where they studied from 1999 to 2001.
