Karen Chang

Karen Chang has extensive experience in finance and administration, with a particular focus on municipal finance. Karen currently holds the position of Director of Finance at the City of South San Francisco. Prior to this role, Karen served as the Assistant Finance Director at the City of San Leandro, where they oversaw various financial operations. Karen also worked as a Special Projects Manager at the City of Pleasanton, where they managed complex financial projects and conducted financial analysis and reporting. Before that, Karen held multiple roles at the City of Pittsburg, including Finance Division Manager, Interim Finance Director, and Senior Accountant, where they were involved in financial reporting, audits, and budgeting. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Project Accountant at Shea Homes and as a Manager for Cash Management at Vodafone Americas Inc. Karen began their career as a Treasury Analyst at Vodafone Airtouch Communications and a Treasury Associate at Airtouch Communications. Karen also has experience as a Senior Financial Accountant at ARCO CHINA INC.

Karen Chang completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance at San Francisco State University, Lam Family College of Business, from 1995 to 1999.
