Amit Patel

Amit Patel is an experienced professional in polymer science and rubber formulation. Currently serving as Assistant General Manager (R&D) at SSIPL Retail LTD since July 2023, Amit focuses on rubber formulation development for sports and casual footwear, particularly in thong outsole design. Prior roles include Research and Development Engineer at SRPL, where Amit developed new rubber hose testing methodologies and optimized formulations to reduce production costs, and Polymer Engineer at Sahajanand Medical Technologies, emphasizing process optimization in stent and balloon manufacturing. Amit holds a Master’s degree in Polymer Science and Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science and Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Additionally, significant projects have been conducted at various prestigious institutions, including developing anti-static properties in bromobutyl rubber at the Defence Research and Development Organisation and fabricating polymer nanofibers at the National Chemical Laboratory.
