John Durkee

John Durkee is a seasoned professional in talent acquisition and event management, currently serving as a Talent Navigator and Senior Talent Acquisition Partner with SSM Health since June 2021. In this role, John focuses on researching and sourcing candidates while consulting with hiring managers to identify specific job objectives. Prior to this, John was a Senior Event Manager at Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel & Convention Center from 2016 to 2021, where the responsibility involved coordinating meeting needs and surpassing client expectations. Additional experience includes roles as a Special Event Planner for Puff 'n Stuff Catering and Events and various positions in meeting and conference services at Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa and Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, highlighting a strong background in hospitality and event management. John also has extensive food and beverage experience from earlier roles at Marriott's Harbor Beach Resort and Jacaranda Country Club.
