Malaya Downey

Malaya Downey is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with a diverse background in community engagement and promotional activities. Currently serving as a Marketing and Communications Consultant at SSM Health since April 2023, Malaya previously held the role of Assistant Director at The Greater Centralia Chamber of Commerce, where efforts focused on fostering a vibrant business environment and facilitating networking events. Malaya's experience also includes positions as Marketing Coordinator at BLUE STREAM SERVICES, INC., and Marketing Assistant at SIUE Office of Educational Outreach, where skills in content creation and project management were honed. Additionally, Malaya gained valuable insights during an internship as an Applied Research Consultant and a Sales Engagement Intern at CenturyLink. Malaya holds a Master of Arts in Marketing Communications from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Marketing from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
