Alicja Rota

Alicja Rota has extensive work experience in the fields of internal audit, risk management, and general ledger management. Alicja is currently working as the Vice President of Internal Audit & Risk at SSR Mining Inc. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Director of Internal Audit & Risk at the same company.

Before joining SSR Mining Inc., Alicja worked at Stantec as the Director of Internal Controls and later as the Director of Internal Audit. During their time at Stantec, they focused on improving controls and standardizing processes for internal controls over financial reporting.

Alicja also has experience working at MWH (now part of Stantec) as the Interim Internal Audit Director and the Manager of Internal Audit. In these roles, they conducted audits, risk assessments, and presented audit reports to upper management.

Alicja has prior experience in the corporate sector as well, having worked at Crocs as the Manager of General Ledger and as a Senior Internal Auditor. At Crocs, they played a key role in the outsourcing transition of accounting and general ledger management, and also managed risk assessments and audit plans.

Early in their career, Alicja worked at Protiviti as an Internal Audit Consultant, where they assisted various clients in identifying risks and internal controls. Alicja also worked as an Internal Audit Intern at Protiviti.

Alicja began their career in the hospitality industry, working as a guest services representative at Northstar-at-Tahoe and Hyatt Regency.

Alicja Rota holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business, which was obtained between 2013 and 2015. Earlier, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Operations Management, and International Business from the same institution, which they pursued from 2001 to 2006. Prior to their university education, Alicja attended Park Tudor School from 1988 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in October 2013 and Certified Internal Auditor from The Institute of Internal Auditors in December 2010.
