Sarah Gauthier possesses a strong background in social work and human services, with a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University at Albany, obtained in 2016, and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from the same institution, completed in 2014. Additionally, Sarah earned an Associate's Degree in Human Services from Hudson Valley Community College in 2012. Professional experience includes internships at the Albany County Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center and the Commission on Economic Opportunity, as well as roles as a Residential Counselor at St. Anne Institute and a Teaching Assistant at Northeast Parent and Child Society. Previous retail experience was gained at The Home Depot from 2001 to 2013.

St. Anne Institute is a voluntary, non-sectarian, residential and community based treatment center. St. Anne's comprehensive programs include a year-round Regents Accredited and Certified Jr. And Sr. High School for the emotionally handicapped; Residential Child Care for young women ages 12-21; Day Treatment/Family Services for children and families in crisis; a Pre School/ Day Care for children ages 3-3; and Prevention .
