Nil Neale

Nil is Chief Financial Officer at the EY Foundation, an independent youth charity formed by the accountancy firm EY LLP that builds aspiration, confidence and a greater sense of purpose by providing the knowledge, skills and experience young people need to thrive in the workplace. Nil has been with the Foundation since it launched in 2014 and was previously Head of Young People Services and Head of Business and People Development.

Nil is from Hounslow, West London and attended The Heathland School. She studied Law at the University of Warwick and Erasmus University Rotterdam and worked for 6 years at Air France alongside her studies, where she was able to combine her interest in travel, languages and customer service. In 2006, Nil joined EY LLP as a tax graduate, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant and developed extensive project management and delivery experience having worked both on complex UK and cross border transactions in tax and internal EY projects.

Nil transitioned across to the EY Corporate Responsibility team in 2011 where she discovered her motivation and passion for connecting young people with employers and delivering programmes that really make a difference to young lives, something that continues today in her role at the EY Foundation and through her commitment to St Basils. Nil is also a volunteer vaccinator for the St John Ambulance.

Nil has been a Board member since December 2021 and sits on St Basils’ Business Support & Audit Committee.
