Keisa M. Rodney

Keisa M. Rodney is a lifelong resident of Violet, LA. Keisa is a mother of five and has been married for 17 years. She is a 1995 graduate of St. Bernard High School. She went on to further her education in the Southern University System and acquired a Bachelor of Social Work (2002) and a Master of Social Work (2005). Ms. Rodney has worked in the field of Social Work for the past 18 years. She has been employed in various systems within the state of Louisiana. Keisa has worked as a Social Worker and Social Service Counselor in the Department of Health and Hospitals, the Office of Juvenile Justice, and the Department of Education. Also, she has worked in the private sector as a Social Worker at Chalmette Medical Center and currently as Senior Case Manager at CADA Prevention and Recovery Center. She has provided services and assistance to disadvantaged populations in such areas as gerontology, mental health, substance abuse, and juvenile justice.

Ms. Rodney does not shy away from civic involvement and has a serious passion for being a voice for her community. She is an active member of the St. Bernard NAACP and St. Bernard MLK Committee. She serves as the chair of the St. Bernard CSBG committee and a founding member of The Pulse of St. Bernard. As a community activist, Ms. Rodney has been vocal about issues plaguing her community and strives every day to work toward finding solutions for these issues.
