Angelique Burns has over 20 years of experience in education, with a focus on teaching history. Angelique began their career as a Teacher of History at Croydon High School in 1999. After five years, they became the Head of History at Coloma Convent Girls' School from 2004 to 2007. Angelique then served as the Deputy Head of History at The Winston Churchill School in 2008 before moving to Guildford High School as a Teacher of History in 2011. In 2012, Angelique joined St Catherine's School in Bramley, where they held the positions of Teacher of History and later Head of Digital Learning and History Teacher. Angelique is currently still working at St Catherine's School.

Angelique Burns completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Leeds from 1995 to 1998. Angelique then pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) specializing in History at the University of York from 1998 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Angelique has obtained various certifications related to education and technology. Angelique became a Google Certified Educator Level 2 in August 2018 and a Google Certified Educator Level 1 in October 2020. Angelique also earned the title of Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator from Microsoft in October 2020. Angelique further expanded their skills by completing the Google for Education Certified Trainer program in October 2021. Most recently, they obtained the MCE: Microsoft Certified Educator certification from Microsoft in June 2023, along with the Edpuzzle Level 1 certification from Edpuzzle in July 2023.
