Julian Huerta has extensive experience in the non-profit sector. Julian started their career in 1988 as a Social Service Worker at the Texas Department of Human Services. From 1991 to 1993, they worked as a Social Science Research Associate at UTHSCSA. Julian then joined American YouthWorks as a Grants and Contracts Manager from 1992 to 1996. Julian served as the Executive Director of Literacy Austin from 1996 to 1998. Julian then became the Deputy Executive Director at Foundation Communities in 1998, where they worked until 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Community Programs at St. David's Foundation.
Julian Huerta completed the NeighborWorks Achieving Excellence Program for community development leaders at the Harvard Kennedy School from 2014 to 2016.
