Liliana Ruiz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public health and education management. Currently serving as the Director of Transitional Shelter at the Boston Public Health Commission, Liliana designs and supervises low-barrier transitional shelters for vulnerable populations, focusing on harm reduction and individualized support. Previous roles include Workforce Development and Income Maximization Administrator and Shelter Director, where Liliana led initiatives to enhance income, benefits, and job skills for individuals experiencing homelessness. Prior to these positions, Liliana held the role of Managing Director at the Boston School of English, overseeing school operations and achieving consistent enrollment growth. Additional experience includes property management as General Manager of Buckingham Business Apartments and marketing analysis for Boston School of Modern Languages. Liliana’s educational background includes a BA in Economics from Universidad del Rosario and an MBA from UMass Boston.
