Kerry Jackson

Chief Executive at St Gemma's Hospice

Kerry took up the post of Chief Executive of St Gemma’s Hospice in 2010. The Hospice is one of the leading charities in Leeds. Kerry is responsible for the strategic leadership of St Gemma’s, with a focus on delivering the highest quality palliative and end of life care, education, and research; the wellbeing, engagement, and development of Hospice staff and volunteers; engagement with the diverse communities; effective governance; and financial sustainability. St Gemma’s is rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission and is a University Teaching Hospice.

Kerry is a member of a number of cross-city groups, representing St Gemma’s, palliative care, and the wider third sector, including the Partnership Executive Group and the ICP Development Board. She is the Yorkshire & Humber representative for Hospice UK and a member of the North East & Yorkshire Strategic Clinical Network; she is also a member of the West Yorkshire & Harrogate Hospice Collaboration.

Prior to joining St Gemma’s she worked in a number of healthcare roles, including the Department of Health’s Private Finance Unit; Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust where she was Project Director for the £250m Bexley wing cancer center; and Nova Healthcare as Chief Executive.
