Bsct Laura Watzek (ASCP)

Laura Watzek, BSCT(ASCP), currently serves as the Sacristan and Gift Shop Coordinator at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church since October 2013, where responsibilities include preparing for liturgical ceremonies, directing volunteers, and managing the Gift Shop operations. Prior to this role, Laura provided administrative support to multiple cores at Scripps Florida from December 2011 to November 2013, and served as Pathology Supervisor at Boca Raton Regional Hospital from 1989 to November 2011, where Laura developed the Cytology division. Additionally, Laura worked as a Cytotechnologist II and I at the University of Miami from August 1983 to June 1988, evaluating cytological samples and instructing students. Laura holds a BS in Medical Technology with a specialty in Cytology from the University of Miami and attended Wheeling University for Biology.
